The Situation
Stable Family Home Trust has supported adults with learning disabilities across Bournemouth, Ringwood and the wider Dorset area for more than 40 years. Locally, people know and respect the charity.
They wanted that reputation to show up online, with more structure behind their fundraising.
The Problem
Fundraising depended on a small team's time. Big events like the annual golf day and the Sea to Summit Challenge needed promoting and sponsoring, and social media went quiet whenever the team got busy with everything else.
There was also no system for finding new corporate supporters. Local businesses that might back the charity simply didn't hear about it.
What I Did
I run their social media every week. The posts show what's happening across the charity and its supported living homes, using videos, branded images and written stories that celebrate the people they support. I schedule and manage it all, and report back on how it's performing.
The bigger piece is fundraising outreach. I run LinkedIn outreach to local businesses from the account of the charity's fundraising lead, pitching longer-term corporate partnerships instead of one-off asks. I support their events, including the golf day at Remedy Oak and the Sea to Summit Challenge, and look after their website and growth planning.
Part of the job is staying on the right side of fundraising regulation. When it became clear parts of the original outreach process needed to change to stay compliant, I rebuilt it as a new fundraising campaign before scaling it any further.
The Outcome
The new fundraising campaign has returned at least 100% on its cost every month since it started. Social media has reached more than 188,000 people, and I've supported over 10 fundraising events. The outreach has also generated more than £10,000* in fundraising leads, which go straight to the internal fundraising team to turn into lasting donor relationships.
The charity renewed the work through to 2027.
In their words: "He remembers details, writes fantastic wording and makes the daunting task of digital marketing easy!"
