The Situation

Static Scotland came to us with a catalogue that their existing website simply could not do justice to. As a supplier of ESD protection products, they were operating in a market where buyers need to find the right solution quickly and trust that the supplier knows their field. Their digital presence was not set up to support that journey. The site needed to be rebuilt from the ground up, and over 1,000 products needed to live within it in a way that was both manageable for the team and useful for visitors.

The Problem

Selling ESD products online presents a specific challenge: the range is extensive, the requirements are technical, and buyers arrive knowing exactly what they need. If a website cannot surface the right product quickly, they will find a supplier who can. A catalogue of over 1,000 listings without proper structure does not just frustrate visitors, it actively works against conversion.

Beyond the user experience problem, there was also a discoverability problem. Without strong SEO foundations, even a rebuilt site would struggle to attract the buyers already searching for what Static Scotland had to offer. The two issues were connected: a site that cannot be found, and a site that cannot be navigated, are both sites that cannot sell.

What We Did

We started by rebuilding the website entirely, not a refresh, but a full overhaul designed to support both the volume of products and the behaviour of technical buyers who know what they are looking for. The new build gave the business a stable, professional foundation that reflected their 30 years of expertise and the scale of their inventory.

From there, we imported the full catalogue of over 1,000 products and built out a filtering system that allows visitors to narrow down by the attributes that matter to them. Rather than wading through an unmanageable list, buyers can move quickly toward the right product, which keeps them on site and moves them closer to purchase.

Alongside this, we built SEO optimisations into the architecture from the start. Product pages, category structures, and metadata were all treated as part of the same problem: getting the right people to the site, and giving them a clear path once they arrived.

The Outcome

Static Scotland now has a website that can genuinely support the scale and credibility of their business. With over 30 years in the industry and more than 1,000 clients across the UK, they deserved a platform that communicated that authority from the first visit.

The catalogue is no longer a liability, it is a structured, searchable asset that gives buyers confidence and makes the team's inventory easy to present and maintain. With improved filtering and SEO baked into the foundation, the site is set up to attract more qualified visitors and convert them into customers.
